Martin Kobler to leave Iraq for new post in Republic of Congo

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has appointed the United Nations' top envoy in Iraq as the new special representative in Congo and the head of the U.N. peacekeeping mission in the troubled central African nation, the Associated Press reported on Monday.

Meanwhile independent Iraqi news agencies reported on Monday that Martin Kobler met with Iranian regime ambassador to Iraq Hassan Danaie-far, who is also a member of the Iranian regime's terrorist Quds Force.

Akram Habibkhani, a resident of Camp Liberty in a letter to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights : "I was the subject of a dirty psychological war by the Iranian intelligence ministry; it is part of an all-out conspiracy against residents of Ashraf and Liberty to justify the suppressive measures against them"

Brussels- 27 May 2013 - During the years 2003 to 2008 when protection of Ashraf residents was with the U.S. forces, we, the signatories of this statement, visited this camp once or on several occasions and thoroughly spoke for several days with the residents.

This statement addresses the stance of UN envoy Mr Martin Kobler, who heads the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) regarding Camp Liberty.
