More harsh restrictions on women to be enforced next month

Iranian regime has announced a fresh clampdown on freedoms with a round of 'moral and social security plans' that will further restrict and oppress the population particularly women.

Among the draconian edicts expected to be re-enforced are police checks on women's clothing and even their shopping, to screen them for 'immodest purchases'.

Bucharest conference supports women rights in Iran

A conference entitled “Women, the force for democratic change in Iran” was held in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. The conference participants included a number of members of Romanian senate and parliament, Iranian activists in Romanian, and representatives from the Syrian opposition.

The conference was chaired by Mr. Romeo Nikoara, member of Human Rights Committee in the Romanian Parliament.

In her message She said: “I congratulate the advent of the Iranian New Year, Nowrouz, to all my compatriots inside and outside Iran, to political prisoners, to the combatants of freedom in camps Ashraf and Liberty and to the courageous youth in Iran, who are working feverishly to prepare the grounds for an uprising and resistance aimed at overthrowing the ruling theocracy in Iran.

In a misogynic and fundamentalist act mullahs’ parliament passed legislation according to which “issuance of passport for single women is only permitted through acquiescence of her guardian or through a decree from a Shariat judge”.
