During the transfer of the last group of residents to Camp Liberty from Camp Ashraf, residents accompanying the last cargo trucks were attacked by Iraqi officers implicated in both the 2009 and 2011 attacks, assisted by members of the Iranian Quds Force. The convoy was eventually admitted to Liberty after lengthy inspections which lasted 24 hours. This is the final group to be relocated and leaves just 200 people in Ashraf to oversee the sale of their possessions.

Ten residents were injured by beatings during the attack and one resident had his nose broken. The assailants, several of whom are summoned by the Spain's National Court for their crimes at Ashraf attacked the victims with stones, sticks and metal bars. They tried to pull them off the trucks in order to kidnap them. A number of the residents  were transferred to a hospital in Baghdad.

Iran Liberty Association strongly condemns this criminal act and calls for the arrest of the masterminds and perpetrators of this crime. Iran Liberty Association also calls for an explanation by Martin Kobler about the failure of UNAMI monitoring.
